"I have a very differant scooter it is a copy of the 1968 Vespa and limited addition it is a 2005 PX150 it has a 2cycle engine and a four speed manual trans. I needed some support as my scooter had digested some bad gas and I was in real trouble. I finally contacted the Vespa home office and I was directed to Tropic PowerSports. WOW I first talked to Lucille as Jim was busy with a scooter service, I was told that he would call me back and try to help me through my problem (1200 hundred miles away.) Why would he do this? Well he did and my scooter problem was solved this is a great statement for people that really care about customers. You can be sure that I will recomend Jim and Lucille and Tropic Powersports to anyone that I know with a scooter interest, these are super people that really know the meaning of service and customer relations."

"My husband bought a Vespa LX 150 for me and I was a bit nervous about taking long trips. Now I have more confidence after taking a trip with Lucielle and Jim's TP riders group. I had asked Jim and Lucielle questions beforehand and they were extremely helpful and made me feel comfortable with the whole experience. "When did I fall in love with my Piaggio scooter? Was it when I saw the stylish Italian design suggestive of the house of Pininfarina. Maybe it was when I started it up and my fillings weren't shaking loose from my dental work. Instead a quiet but powerful purr... came to life from her 150 cc sohc engine. When I pulled out of the parking lot the cvt transmission accelerated without the lurch of changing gears found on manual or automatic transmissions. My mouth began to grin as I rolled on the throttle and found not only was my Piaggio responsive to acceleration, but nimbly navigated through traffic like Gale Sayers through open backfield. I then decided to ride my scooter to Captiva and watch the sunset. I crossed the Sanibel bridge for two dollars and made my way down Periwinkle way. I then realized what I have been missing in a hermetically sealed automobile. It was the fragrance of spring, all the blossoms were in bloom, my grin became a smile. I cruised to the Sunset Square on Sanibel, parked my scooter and crossed the street. I sat on a dune watched a perfect orange lifesaver sunset take a dip in the azure blue Gulf of Mexico. What I needed next was a cone at the Dairy Queen on Periwinkle way. I got back on my scooter and drove home. I couldn't stop watching the afterglow of the sunset from the bridge, I was that mesmerized. I got home and realized how much life had passed me by from the steering wheel of my car. That's when I fell in love with my Piaggio. I can't wait for our next date.

"I have had my Vespa for several months now. I am very happy with the bike and ride it every day. I found everything, from browsing, purchase, service, and camaraderie to be better than any I have experienced in over 50 years of riding motorcycles.
While I still ride big bikes, this is my first scooter since a Cushman Eagle in 1960. I also had motorcycles back then as well. I find this scooter more fun to ride than anything I can remember in recent years.
I recommend Tropic Power Sports for any scooter purchase or service. The customer service is impeccable. It is much like the old school, family owned shops of my youth. I, occasionally stop by to visit with the owners. When not waiting on other customers, they seem to always make time for me.
There is a nice selection of accessories to choose from. And, if they don't have it, they can get it.
Riders of all levels of experience are welcome. Check out this site for group rides and other events.

"I went in to purchase a new coil for my Vespa LT50, and the technician looked at the coil and was able to fix the coil wire in it for me. It saved me buying a new one and I was most appreciative. (He also found a new one for me to order in case his repair did not work. In fact he called me at home to double check to make sure I was all set). The best customer service I have received anywhere in a long time. I will certainly be bringing any future business to them again. Thanks."

"I PREVIOUSLY OWNED A SCOOTER AND WAS THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING ANOTHER ONE BUT NOT REAL SURE. I WENT TO A FEW OTHER STORES BUT NOT REAL IMPRESSED. I THEN WENT TO TROPIC POWERSPORTS AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE WAY LUCILLE AND JIM EDUCATED ME ON WHAT IS A GOOD SCOOTER AND ALSO THE WAY THEY TREATED ME AS I WASN'T EASY. I KNEW IF I WOULD BUY ONE IT WOULD BE FROM THEM. HALF AN HOUR LATER I WENT BACK AND BOUGHT A PIAGGIO AND TWO HOURS LATER I DROVE IT HOME. GREAT SERVICE. "What a tremendous experience. It all started with the wonderful service they gave to my old Vespa. When I saw the beautiful new Limited Edition Pink Model I was hooked!! "My husband and I purchased our first scooter (Piaggio Fly 150) from Lucille and Jim in April '09. They gave us expert advise. One month later, we bought a Piaggio BV 250. Of course we fought over who would ride which scooter. So we decided to trade up the Fly 150 for another BV 250. We could not be happier!!!! Now we can't wait for the weekends to scoot together. "For overall customer service and professional response to customer needs, Vespa of Fort Myers sets the standard for excellence. Jim and his staff have provided outstanding mechanical service, repair and advice for both my Vespa and my son’s personal watercraft. Thanks to their persistence and excellent mechanical skills, what we thought may well have been a hopeless situation was diagnosed and completely repaired. I am certain that others might well have not bothered to put in the effort required to see the situation through to a successful completion. And certainly as far as my Vespa is concerned, I wouldn’t even consider taking it anywhere else for ongoing routing service because I have found that even the most minor of issues are never treated as simply routine. Not only does Lucille always have a smile on her face, she has it in her voice whenever you phone. Simply put, I have never received better service for any produce than what is provided by Jim and Lucille at Vespa of Fort Myers.
